Axpo Bulgaria was founded in October 2006 as a subsidiary of the Axpo Group with the name of EGL Bulgaria.
In July 2007 the company received a power trading license and since then is a regular participant in the power markets in Bulgaria and trades in the neighboring countries of Bulgaria.
In 2011 it was decided by the Axpo Group to build a service center within Axpo Bulgaria in order to render various Operations and Back Office services to the Axpo Group.
The activities started with Power Operations, followed by Gas Operations and soon was expanded to various Back Office services, thus widening the expertise and strengthening the competencies.
As a result of the excellent performance of the company‘s teams, its responsibilities and significance grew and Axpo Bulgaria today is the Energy Operations center of Axpo Solutions AG. More than 70 people are dedicated to deliver a wide range of high-quality services.
Axpo Bulgaria continues to grow, developing into a key center in the region, as a Service Center as well as focusing on business opportunities in power and gas in the Central and Eastern European region.
