01.10.2018 - Since the end of September 2018, Axpo has been conducting its activities in the international customer business, foreign renewable energies, and energy trading under Axpo Solutions AG (formerly Axpo Trading AG). Axpo announced the name change back in December 2017. At the same time, targeted strategic structural adaptations are underway at Axpo Power AG.
The backbone of Axpo Solutions AG is the international customer and trading business as well as activi-ties abroad in the area of renewable energies. These are the areas in which Axpo achieved the most growth in the past years. The new name Axpo Solutions AG expresses the strong importance of individual customer solutions such as renewable energies. Axpo intends to continue growing here in the future.
In order to better respond to market volatility Axpo also announced adaptations to the corporate structure in December 2017. These are now being implemented. Axpo Hydro AG (for the hydropower plants) as well as Axpo Grid AG (for the grid business) will be consolidated under Axpo Power AG. These changes will be implemented in the first quarter of the new financial year.
