Thomas Gresch joins Axpo as new Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Thomas Gresch will head the technological development of the Group from January 1, 2021 at the latest. In Thomas Gresch (45), Axpo has gained an experienced and proven leader who, together with a new technology management team, will increase efficiency and effectiveness in central areas of the Axpo Group.

Under the leadership of Thomas Gresch, the Technology Management Team will in future be in charge of planning and introducing new technologies and support their implementation with specific knowledge and resources. In addition, Thomas Gresch will support the operational business in order to further strengthen the data analytics structures already in place at Axpo.

The Technology Management Team will focus primarily on new products and operationally oriented technologies such as Machine Learning, Robotics or Image Recognition. With a strong customer focus, data will be collected and analysed in order to be able to cover technical requirements even better in the future.

The physicist Thomas Gresch has been Chief Technology Officer of TX Group for the past five years, responsible for the entire technology and data strategy. He has been instrumental in shaping the Group's technical innovation.
