06.03.2025 - Axpo and Klimaoprema, a leading Croatian manufacturer of cleanroom systems, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, have signed a ten-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA), it was announced today. Under the deal, the entire energy needs of Klimaoprema’s production sites in Croatia will be met. The agreement strengthens Axpo’s position as a leader in long-term energy solutions in central and south-eastern Europe.
The long-term cPPA covers the total supply of approximately 17.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of green electricity, which will be used to meet the energy requirements of Klimaoprema’s production sites in Nova Gradiška and Samobor. This amount of energy corresponds to the annual consumption of 700 households in Croatia.
Axpo Croatia Senior Originator Filip Bozic said: "We’re delighted to welcome Klimaoprema to our growing customer portfolio in Croatia. For Axpo, this marks the first cPPA agreement in Croatia, strengthening the company's local presence and boosting its origination activities in the Croatian market. In March 2023, Axpo announced it had signed Croatia’s first long-term wind virtual power PPA, covering almost 1.8 terawatt hours (TWh) of green electricity produced annually by Kunovac, an onshore windfarm in the Zadar region of Croatia.
