Start of construction of underground cabling from Langacher to Sins (Canton Zug)

To ensure the future energy supply, Axpo is increasing the operating voltage of its power lines in the Canton Zug from 50 to 110 kilovolts (kV). This will increase transmission capacities and reduce transmission losses. As part of this project, the existing line between the Langacher and Sins substations will be laid in the ground. Construction work will start at the end of March 2025.

Axpo in dialogue with local communities on potential wind farm at Dreibündenstein

Switzerland needs more renewable energy, particularly in winter. Axpo is therefore initiating preliminary assessments for a potential wind farm in the Dreibündenstein area, in the canton of Graubünden, it was announced today. To this end, Axpo engaged with the local population through two information events. The next steps include feasibility assessments and wind measurements, with a wind measurement mast set to be installed in the coming months.

At their Annual General Meeting, the shareholders of Kraftwerke Sarganserland AG (KSL) approved the annual financial statements and report for the 2023/24 financial year. Electricity production in the reporting year was significantly higher than the already strong previous year and also above the long-term average.

Axpo Holding AG purchases additional 4.6% stake in CKW AG

Axpo Holding AG has agreed to acquire 272,403 additional shares in its Swiss subsidiary CKW AG from Anna Holding AG, a holding company of Swiss entrepreneur and investor Martin Ebner, it was announced today. The transaction increases Axpo Holding AG’s stake in CKW AG to 85.6%.

Axpo signs its first long-term cPPA in Croatia

Axpo and Klimaoprema, a leading Croatian manufacturer of cleanroom systems, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, have signed a ten-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA), it was announced today. Under the deal, the entire energy needs of Klimaoprema’s production sites in Croatia will be met. The agreement strengthens Axpo’s position as a leader in long-term energy solutions in central and south-eastern Europe.
