Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is a transmission standard for voice and data in non-public radio networks. It is based on the "ETSI EN 300 113" standard of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). DMR solutions are excellently suited for professional and high-performance mobile radio solutions and, at the same time, demonstrate a high level of investment protection. Even complex professional radio networks can be implemented profitably and efficiently. A wide range of performance features ensures flexible adaptability of the radio system.
Digital professional radio offers excellent voice quality, a long range and long battery life. Modern DMR solutions excel especially in safety-critical applications. These can be expanded with additional functions such as image or data transmission, voice recording, lone worker protection, dead man's devices or locating solutions. DMR can also be used as a basis for IoT and M2M applications.
Axpo Systems has many years of experience in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of modern DMR radio networks. Axpo Systems has a broad technology and product portfolio as well as the necessary know-how for the various customer requirements.
Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is based on the time division multiple access (TDMA) method and uses two time slots at 12.5 kHz channel width. The following picture shows the transmission method schematically:
