Axpo launches internship programme for young IT talents
In this edition of the internship programme, you will learn about the specifics of commercial work in the energy industry. Participants in the internship are offered the opportunity to join a product team within IT Axpo.
We work in product teams of several people focused on the development and maintenance of specified IT systems – defined as products that give value to business stakeholders. The product model has been used successfully for many years by technology giants such as Microsoft and Google. The product team is headed by a Product Owner – a representative of the business department who gives the team direction, prioritises tasks and schedules work within two-week periods called sprints.
Duration of the internship
12 months on a minimum of a 3/4 part-time basis.
Form of the internship
The internship will be conducted in a hybrid mode, requiring a presence in Axpo's office for at least 2 days a week.

Interview with the HR department

Practical exercise
At this stage, we would like to know your level of familiarity with some of the tools we use in our day-to-day work. Don't worry if you don't know them all – we'd be happy to help you with your development.
Meeting with managers
During the final stage, we will invite you for an interview with your potential managers.
Completion of recruitment
Once the recruitment process has been completed, we will inform you of the outcome. If your application is successful, we will offer you to join the Axpo Polska team.
Our teams
IT team
The IT Department at Axpo Polska, the organizer of the internship program, is responsible for implementing and maintaining key business-supporting applications for the company. The department consists of seven specialized product teams and currently comprises approximately 20 individuals. They possess programming expertise in Backend and Frontend Development as well as Data Engineering. Additionally, the team includes a Technology Excellence group, consisting of an IT architect, tech leads, and IT project managers.
In addition to managing in-house projects, we also collaborate with external providers who deliver administrative (IT) services, supply essential systems for carrying out business operations, and work jointly with us on developmental projects.
In the coming months we will be working on:

Rebuilding the Data Warehouse, which we constructed ourselves

Enhancing the commission settlement system for Axpo's business partners

Developing the CRM/Billing system
SA (Sales Automation) team
The SA team at Axpo Poland focuses on automating sales processes and providing solutions to support the company's commercial activities. Our team emphasizes the impact of the implemented solutions on the end user, and our work is based on extensive experience and a dynamic working methodology. We closely collaborate with the IT department and other business units to deliver modern and effective sales support solutions.
In addition to executing internal projects, we also work with external partners and suppliers, allowing us to quickly respond to changing market needs and implement innovations in sales processes.
In the coming months, the SA team will be involved in the following key projects:

Developing an internal analysis team aimed at optimizing sales processes based on collected data

Implementing GenAI solutions to introduce cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies that support sales

Expanding the Partner Portal to facilitate easier collaboration and communication with Axpo’s business partners
