At Axpo, we are constantly working to create solutions that shape a sustainable future and respond to market needs. This is why we have developed a product for the energy offtake from photovoltaic installations combined with an energy sales contract.
Electricity production is not reserved only for large entities. Your company, too, can produce electricity from renewable energy sources and sell the surplus under an energy offtake contract. In times when the environmental transition is accelerating, renewables are an attractive investment area.
PV installations below 50 kW
The price is set once a year as the sum of the volume of energy produced in quarterly cycles multiplied by the average spot price calculated during the day (from 7 a.m. to 6.59 p.m.) and multiplied by a factor of 0.9.
PV installations over 50 kW
The price is set once a year on the basis of the daily and hourly data of the volume produced multiplied by the price on the balancing market* in a specific hour.
* The advantage of using the balancing market is that it is closely correlated to the spot price, so that the final offtake price does not require factors that reduce the final price.

No, it is necessary to conclude or already have an energy sales contract with Axpo for the same point of delivery and period for which you want to conclude an energy offtake contract.
The following conditions must be met:
We will receive data on the amount of energy offtake from the installation (i.e. energy returned to the grid at a given point of delivery) from the distribution system operator.
Once a year (in April), you must issue Axpo with a VAT invoice or other bill (an accounting document that does not include VAT) for the energy repurchased by Axpo. We will provide you with the relevant invoice details by e-mail. On the other hand, you will still have to pay your bills for the energy purchased from Axpo in accordance with the provisions of the energy supply contract.
Please let us know if your installation's capacity changes so that we can correctly forecast and account for the energy offtake.
In this hourly range, 99% of the energy generated by PV installations in Poland is generated.
This is a risk factor that covers the difference between the production forecast and the actual energy produced.
The exchange (spot) price refers to the TGeBase electricity price index at FIXING I on the Day-Ahead Market of the Polish Power Exchange (Towarowa Giełda Energii, TGE). This price can be checked on the TGE website under the Quotations (Notowania) tab.
The balancing market is a technical market in which the transmission system operator sells/purchases energy on an ongoing basis to balance the difference between actual grid demand and forecast demand.
The transmission system operator – that is, the company Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. – publishes prices daily on its website.
