An Energy Savings Certificate (ESC) is an electronic document certifying a reduction in energy consumption due to implementing an energy efficiency measure. You should know that this saving can be monetised, and Axpo Iberia can help you achieve this.

1. Investment in energy efficiency: To reduce energy consumption, you must improve your company's facilities. For example, you could switch to LED lighting, improve thermal insulation, or upgrade HVAC systems.

2. Verification: An independent verifier, accredited by the National Accreditation Body (ENAC in Spanish), evaluates the implemented measures and certifies the energy savings achieved.

3. Commercialisation: These energy savings can generate revenue by being sold to the National Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme's obligated parties (i.e., energy companies) or to delegated entities (accredited companies that help obligated parties obtain ESCs).

4. Application: Only obligated parties and delegated entities can apply for the issuance of ESCs.

5. Issuance: The entity responsible for energy efficiency in the autonomous community where the action was carried out will issue an ESC for each verified kWh of energy saved.
